The Atonement Academy strives for excellence in the physical, the intellectual, and the spiritual virtues through a challenging course of classical and Catholic education.
The Atonement Academy is the parish school of Our Lady of the Atonement Catholic Church. Thus, the spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and physical elements of the education that it offers are taught within the context of the Catholic Faith.
Our approach to education is not going unnoticed. In 2005, The Atonement Academy was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. In 2008, The National Catholic High School Honor Roll announced its fifth selection of the best 50 Catholic secondary schools in the United States. Our school was considered along with over a thousand other nominees for this prestigious award. The recognition was based on outstanding success in three categories: academic excellence, Catholic identity, and civic education.
The Atonement Academy stands out as being the only school in the Archdiocese of San Antonio to serve the entire spectrum of school grades: From Pre-K through 12. The academic structure in the school consists of three subschools, the Lower School (PreK-4 through Grade 5), the Middle School (Grades 6 though 8), and the Upper School (Grades 9-12). We invite parents of prospective students to arrange to have a tour and see what the Atonement Academy has to offer! Contact Andrew Shivone, Director of Admissions, or telephone 210 695 2240.
